This is one of the most powerful SEO techniques. Since video sites like YouTube are constantly looked up by search engine bots, your website is likely to get listed on search engines quickly if you have a video clip with relevant keywords.

What you have to remember is that video as such does not mean anything to search engines. You must ensure that the videos have relevant tags and keywords to identify them.

Providing proper heading to videos is the first part of SEO. These headings or title are used as keywords by search engines. The tags or keywords used in the video should be carefully chosen. Some video sites even provide a website reference which can be used to link to your website.

Providing video clips as part of SEO is also called video SEO and also viral marketing. For example if you upload a video to YouTube, it can be used by others on their own sites and blogs. Imagine what would happen if a few hundred sites display your video. Your video will become viral and search engines will instantly rank you higher in results.  Creating viral video is easier said than done. They must have a universal appeal. It is not unusual to find millions of people downloading videos from YouTube. This can give you instant exposure and fame.

Some people are scared of using videos simply because they feel that creating them would be extremely costly. But this is not the case. There are hundreds of free tools available on the internet which provide techniques to create videos from slides and photographs. They cost nothing and can be used to make effective videos. Uploading videos is also easy and simple.

Videos can play a strategic role in your SEO efforts. They are easy to create and upload. Viral marketing can give an instant boost to your search engine ranking.

Organic Listing vs. Paid Listing (PPC)

Ever wondered where the advertisements on the right of search results come from? These are paid listings. You can participate in the Google AdWords or Microsoft AdCenter campaign and get listed in the paid section of search results. The difference between organic search and paid list is that in organic, you don’t have to pay for the advertisements. In paid listing, you have to pay to search engine providers if a person clicks on the ads. If no one clicks on your advertisement even if it is listed several times or even hundreds of times, you don’t have to pay. This model is called Pay Per Click (PPC). It has obvious advantages. Customers who are genuinely interested in your product or service are the ones most likely to click on the advertisement which means you get a better response to your ad. You can moreover measure cost of advertising versus conversion. By fine tuning your paid listings you can improve the click to conversion ratio. Search engines provide tools to measure various parameters of your paid listing. By monitoring the response you can understand the dynamics of the entire operation.

Just like organic search (SEO or Search Engine optimization), paid listing is also based on keywords. But in paid listings, search engines provide exact statistics of the number of times your advertisement was listed and the subsequent clicks which followed. Each keyword is analyzed separately. Organic search results can be improved if you opt for paid listing for some days. Once you have understood the relevance of specific keywords, you can modify your organic search campaign.

There is a misconception that you must either opt for organic search (SEO) or for paid listings. In actual fact, it is seen that running both the campaigns concurrently can do wonders to your search engine ranking. The process of learning becomes faster and you can quickly grasp the intricacies of your keywords and their impact on search results.

BASICALLY, backlinks are nothing more than links on other websites that point to yours, they are also called incoming or inbound links. Some call backlinks “the backbone of Search Engine Positioning.” Backlinks are important for PageRank; the more established, better ranked, most optimized that the page linking to your website is, the better it will help for YOUR rank.

Backlinks originally were only important to navigate the web, but now its importance is so great when it comes to SEO and PageRank.

A few EASY ways to get backlinks for your site:

  • Upload videos to different video sites such as YouTube, DailyMotion, or Kewego. Make sure you place your link in the description of the video and anywhere else they would allow it.
  • Find internet forums for your niche, every niche has somewhere people go to have related discussions. Sign up to each of them and in your signature box, place the link to your site.
  • Article Marketing. Start posting related content on sites like EzineArticles and Squidoo, make sure your link is in each post.
  • Find Blogs in your niche that rank real well, start posting comments on their posts and make sure you use your website’s URL
  • Start a blog on a new domain, and new hosting account, post daily and make sure you have links in the sidebar or atleast the footer.

Try those out and you’ll start getting backlinks IMMEDIATELY

SIMPLE Tip Using Youtube To Increase SEO Traffic

Ok, so check this out…

One way to get natural search traffic to your website is to place a video on the page. Since the most widely used search engine is Google, then we want to start there. YouTube happens to be owned by google, so it will help your rankings by using them to host your video.

  • Get an account on YouTube, make sure you place your website links in the videos as well as on your channel.
  • Upload the video, the one you want on your website, into your YouTube account.
  • After it is done uploading and is processed, take the embed code and send it to your webmaster. If you do it yourself, put it on the page where you want it viewed.

Every time a visitor watches the video on your page, you also get a view on YouTube, cool right? So the more popular your video is, the more weight it carries in the search engines. But what if they don’t click play, you ask? Then make the video auto-start!

Typically if it is a landing page and the first thing your viewer sees is your video, then you want the video to play automatically. ESPECIALLY if its an important message, you don’t want to take the chance of them not playing the video! (This will also help with your bounce rate)

So here’s what you do:

  1. Take your embed code and look for the URL, its in there twice and usually looks something like this – “http://www.youtube.com/v/FjTcA7i0f32pP0&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0″
  2. Take this little snippet of code – &autoplay=1  and place it right before the first & symbol (in this case its &hl)
  3. Make sure you also place it on the other URL

So you set your video to play automatically, now every time someone visits your page, you get a view on YouTube also!

If the radio played the same song all day every day, or the TV only showed the same shows, would you watch or listen to them? I know I wouldn’t. The same goes for the search engines, they don’t really like websites that don’t update frequently or give fresh content. Old content really isn’t bad, but to publish new and unique content would help your site to rank well. This is why blogs rank so easily and do so well in search engines, because the blogger is constantly adding new and fresh content! Think about it… you have certain keywords you want people to find you for, so you make daily posts using those tags.

Do this… go to  Hostgator.com and get their baby plan, go into your cpanel and install wordpress to a directory. Get yourself a nice theme and start posting! To learn more about SEO with wordpress, and to download a great software to make your blog EVEN MORE SEO friendly, CLICK HERE
